Performance Features
While competitors have offered up turbocharged engines and hybrid options, the efficient and economic 3.8-liter V6 engine that is the heart of the 2024 Kia Telluride is linked with a traditional eight-speed automatic transmission. Providing 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, the Telluride hits 60 miles per hour from a standing start in only 7.1 seconds. It can also tow up to 5500 pounds with ease, pulling boats, small trailers, and more. At the same time it’s fairly efficient for the driver looking to save on gas, with front-wheel drive models getting 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway and all-wheel drive models making 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. Drive Mode Select provides Comfort, Eco, Sport and Smart modes – on all-wheel drive versions, you also get AWD Lock and Snow modes. Handling is firm and predictable, with the standard suspension offering a smooth ride. The Telluride has 8.0 inches of ground clearance and an available self-leveling rear air suspension for drivers looking to do some light off-roading.


Style and Technology
With the updates of 2023 model, the 2024 Kia Telluride doesn’t get much in the way of revisions, just some minor trims to sheet metal that is barely perceptible. The trademark Tiger Nose grille leads the way, with the body straddling the line between modern and utilitarian. X-Line and X-Pro trims feature upgraded exterior design that strikes a more rugged note.
Inside the cabin, you can seat seven with captain’s chairs in the second row, or eight if you opt for the bench seat. Adults will be comfortable in the second row, while the third row is best for teens and children. Smaller adults can sit back there in a pinch for short rides. The cargo space is excellent, with 21 cubic feet with all seats in place. With the third row stowed, 46 cubic feet is available, and removing the second row opens up 87 cubic feet of cargo space.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration is standard in every 2024 Telluride, running through the 12.3-inch touchscreen. This system includes HD Radio and SiriusXM across the board. A Harman Kardon premium audio system with 10 speakers, Clari-Fi technology and QuantumLogic Surround is offered. Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging is available, helping to eliminate cords from the cabin, and up to six USB charging ports are offered.
Safety
The Kia Drive Wise suite is standard in the 2024 Kia Telluride and includes a lengthy list of driver assistance features. This suite includes a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, vehicle exit warning, and Driver Attention Warning. Also included on every 2024 Telluride is Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning, which can be upgraded to include Car, Pedestrian, and Cyclist Detection. Blind-Spot View Monitor helps the driver see all angles.

Trim Levels
With ten trim levels, the 2024 Kia Telluride available does a great job of offering something for nearly every driver.
The base Telluride LX trim features the standard mentioned above, sitting on 18-inch alloy wheels. SynTex synthetic leather seating trim is standard, with both seats having manual adjustment. Dual-zone automatic temperature control is standard as well, and rear automatic temperature control lets passengers control their own temperature. Five USB charging points throughout the cabin so rear row passengers can get a charge. Remote Engine Start is standard to get the cabin warmed up or cooled down ahead of time. Rear Occupant Alert with Ultrasonic Sensors and Safe Exit Assist are standard, great safety offerings!
The Telluride S trim features 20-inch alloy D-Type design wheels with black finish. Finish accents are set across the exterior, along with satin-chrome and body-color door handles. While the interior is similar to the LX trim, the driver’s seat gets 8-way power adjustability with 2-way lumbar support. Both the driver and passenger front seat are heated. This trim and all the ones above get a wireless phone charger.
The self-leveling rear suspension can be equipped on the EX trim as an option, offering a smoother ride. Exterior mirrors are power-folding, and a power tilt-slide sunroof helps to open up the cabin for sunshine. The Hands-Free Power Liftgate makes it easy to load and unload cargo. Synthetic leather-wrapped side handles feature on the floor console, while other upgrades include satin chrome interior door handles. Full leather upholstery features across the seats, and both get ventilation. The front passenger seat gets 8-way power adjustability with two-way electric lumbar support. A heated steering wheel is optional.
The X-Line All-Wheel Drive package is available on EX and SX trims. This package includes standard all-wheel drive as well as 10mm more of ground clearance for improved approach and departure angles. A Tow mode for optimized trailering performance and an upgraded Traction Control System (TCS) also improve capabilities. A unique radiator grille design, body-color door handles, and exclusive 20-inch wheels and X-Line badging dress up the exterior. Inside, “X-Line” embossing is standard on the front seat upper backrests, and the trim gets exclusive color package choices.
20-inch wheels with unique design are standard on the SX trim, and it gets gloss black mirror trim with satin chrome low-profile roof rails. The sunroof is upgraded to a dual sunroof with front tilt-slide functionality. The driver’s cluster gets upgraded to a 12.3-inch full LCD version, with improved clarity. Stainless steel pedals and door scuff plates and an Interior Mood lamp with 64 colors offer luxury touches. The Harman Kardon 10-speaker system is standard on this trim and above. Driver’s will appreciate that the driver’s seat is upgraded to 10-way power adjustability and includes cushion extension, thigh support, 4-way lumbar support and the Integrated Memory System. The X-Line package is offered on this trim.
Like the X-Line, the X-Pro All-Wheel Drive package available on the SX trim comes with standard AWD and can tow up to 5,500 pounds. X-Pro includes everything that the X-Line package has outside, with X-Pro badging, exclusive 18-inch black wheels and 18-inch Continental all-terrain tires. X-Pro embossing is prominent on the front seats, The cargo area adds a 110-volt inverter outlet for powering your outdoor adventures.
The top SX Prestige has a lot to offer for SUV buyers! Front rain-sensing windshield wipers are standard. Inside, luxury upgrades include a premium cloth headliner and cloth-covered A- and B-pillar trims. Premium Nappa Leather seating trim covers the seats. The second row of split-folding captain chairs are heated and ventilated, with three settings levels for each. The heated steering wheel is standard, and the center console features a 110V inverter for powering accessories. The SX Prestige trim is also available with the X-Line or X-Pro package.
